Tim Craske, Geowisdom's director, is a geoscientist with over 35 years’ experience in exploration in Australia, the Americas and East Africa.

Tim spent 20 years with WMC Resources during which he discovered the Ernest Henry and E1 iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) deposits in the Cloncurry district, northwest Queensland. He was also involved in the targeting and acquisition of core tenements of the West Musgraves province for copper and nickel, leading to the discovery of Nebo-Babel Ni-S deposits.

Since leaving WMC Resources Tim has worked in both the junior and major company sectors. Whilst at Sirius Resources he defined and planned initial EIS co-funded drilling at “The Eye” geophysical anomaly, later the location of the discovery of Nova-Bollinger Ni-Cu-S orebodies found the following field season. Tim also worked for Brazilian iron ore giant Vale as General Manager Exploration Consulting and for Iluka Resources as Exploration Manager - New Commodities.

Tim is currently an independent scholar and international resources sector consultant.

Tim Craske is also director and chief facilitator for Thinker.Events, a Perth based internationally relevant thinking skills training and consulting company. It’s flagship workshop is the annual The Science of Discovery: How to find orebodies residential workshop held in August at the Pullman Resort Dunsborough in the Margaret River wine region of Western Australia. Shorter two day workshops are run in-house for clients and in partnership with the Centre for Exploration Targeting (CET) at the University of Western Australia.
