Faults on parts of ElectraNet’s energy transmission network have cut power to most of Yorke Peninsula. Parts of the Eyre Peninsula are also experiencing outages.

ElectraNet is working to restore power as soon as possible.

These outages come during a predicted low-intensity heatwave (external site), which could present health risks to vulnerable people in affected areas. SA Health has advice on its website for staying healthy in the heat (external site).

SA Health sites in the affected area are all operating on generators. SA Health is continuing to work with all sites, its primary focus being to minimise any potential impact on patients and communities.
