Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act draft bill

Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Regulations 2024

South Australia has introduced the nation's first 'one window to government' licencing and regulatory system for large-scale hydrogen and renewable energy projects.

In March 2024, the Department for Energy and Mining sought public feedback on draft regulations to support the Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act 2023 (the Act). The regulations provide details on a range of operational requirements in regard to the licencing and regulatory system established by the Act.
