RAA Charge - South Australia's EV charging network
RAA Charge is South Australia’s first statewide electric vehicle (EV) charging network, delivered with support from the State Government. Completed in April 2025, the network spans 144 sites and over 550 plugs, connecting remote and regional communities from Yalata to Mount Gambier. With no site more than 200 km apart, it enables seamless sustainable travel across the state. Powered by 100% renewable energy, RAA Charge is a transformative step in decarbonising personal transport. Through Time of Use pricing, it is shaping future charging behaviours to support grid stability.
The network has powered over 192,000 charging sessions, delivering 4,545 MWh of clean energy – cutting 1.5 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to removing 300 petrol cars from the road for a year. Monthly usage has grown to over 11,000 sessions, with peak periods seeing 30% interstate usage, boosting tourism and regional economies. RAA Charge is driving South Australia’s transition to a cleaner, greener connected future.
