Harley is driven, committed, and invested in the success of others. Since commencing his Boilermaker apprenticeship in May 2022, Harley has demonstrated exceptional dedication, completing his trade in just over two years, which is half the standard time, making him the first apprentice in BHP’s Diversity Program of Works to do so. His accelerated progress was the result of intense focus, proactive learning, and a strong work ethic, both in trade school and on the job. He has now embarked on a second apprenticeship as a Heavy Diesel Maintenance Technician, continuing to expand his capabilities and contribution to the business.
As a proud spokesperson for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander apprentices, Harley is generous mentor and role model with a passion inclusion and empowerment. His leadership was instrumental in rebuilding the BHP onboarding program and practical projects, where he served as a Subject Matter Expert.
